SP0020 - MPLS TE Metric (Part 3)

The video takes you through the concept of Cisco MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE) metric. We will first get to know the two types of metric; IGP and TE. We will then focus on the two common forwarding options; Autoroute Announce and Forwarding Adjacency, as you will see that depending on which forwarding option you are using, the path metric gets calculated and manipulated differently which directly effect traffic routing decision. We will try to exercise our knowledge by attempting to load balancing traffic between IP path and TE tunnel.

SP0009 - MPLS VPN PE-CE with OSPF (Part 3)

The video demonstrates configuration of OSPF as PE-CE routing protocol in Cisco MPLS VPN. In addition to basic OSPF configuration, we will go through more advance scenarios of dualed-home site and sites with a backdoor link, and try to understand how a use of Sham Link can prevent a backdoor link from being preferred over MPLS, and how Down-Bit and how Domain Tag can prevent learnt routes from being re-advertised out of the site. We will also look at the Domain ID and the affect that it has on OSPF LSA type.

SP0008 - MPLS VPN PE-CE with EIGRP (Part 3)

The video demonstrates configuration of EIGRP as PE-CE routing protocol in Cisco MPLS VPN. In addition to basic EIGRP configuration, we will go through more advance scenarios of dualed-home site and sites with a backdoor link, and try to understand how a Site-of-Origin (SoO) BGP attribute can be used to prevent routes from being readvertised into its own site. The lab finishes with a discussion of BGP cost community, which is unique to EIGRP and the affect that it has on the path selection.

SP0007 - MPLS VPN PE-CE with RIPv2 (Part 2)

The video demonstrates configuration of RIPv2 as PE-CE routing protocol in Cisco MPLS VPN. RIPv2 will be used per VRF to replace the static routes that we configured in the previous video. We will also look at how RIP metric is carried across MPLS in MPBGP advertisement and how it can be manipulated.
