This advanced video series is a continuation of our Firepower 6.7 (Basic). Firepower 6.7 (Basic) video series was focusing on networking functions of Firepower. This video series focuses on the next generation firewall features. The series begins with an upgrade to the latest Firepower 7.0 before taking you through key features including Access Control, Security Intelligence,  App Filtering, Identity, Intrusion Policy, URL Filtering, and Malware Detection, to help you complete and make the most out of your Firepower deployment. We do recommend our audience to either have some background of Cisco Firepower or completed our Firepower 6.7 (Basic) video series.

 

So how is this different from our ASA Firepower video series? While there are some content overlap, the Lab Minutes original ASA Firepower series was based on a much older code release of 5.x when the Firepower was still running as a service on Cisco ASA. This video series is based on the newer Firepower FXOS device, and all configurations are done on the updated Firepower 7.0 GUI. ASA Firepower is slowly becoming deprecated so if you are new to Cisco Firepower, or have FTD-based deployment, this is the bundle for you.
