The video lays a foundation of MPLS by looking at configuration of Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) on Cisco router. We will learn how MPLS routers use LDP to discover their neighbors, create series of LDP sessions to form a Label Switching Path (LSP), and finally exchange MPLS labels. LDP binding table will be examined in attempt to understand how a packet is label-switched from an ingress to an egress router. Wireshark capture will be performed as we will spend time analysing LDP messages and packets.
