The video shows you how to configure external connection to an SDA fabric on Cisco DNAC. We will spend time configuring a fusion router device to BGP peer with a Border node for each VN. Appropriate route leaking will be performed to provide desired inter-VN connectivity.

Part 2 of this video covers routing for DEFAULT and ADMIN VNs

Hi Team,

Thanks for the video.

I have a question about the routing between BC1 and SW1. After I added the trunk between SW1 and FTD, do I need to advertise the network in IS-IS? Specifically, VLAN 2 (172.16.2.0/30) and VLAN 3 (172.16.2.4/30). Also, do I need to change the IS-IS type from Level 1 to Level 2 and use the default-information originate command?

I’m also facing an issue where PC1 and PC2 are unable to ping the external network (8.8.8.8) but can ping each other. Additionally, they can ping the gateway 172.16.255.1 (INFRA_VN) and the 172.16.32.0/24 network (VLAN 32). I’ve already advertised VLAN 32 in IS-IS as part of the underlay routing. Also, I can see the return traffic from SW1 to PC1 via BGP and VXLAN.

I checked the E1 switch routing table and noticed it is unable to obtain the default route to the external network. I believe the traffic flow is as follows: from PC1 (INFRA_VLAN) via IS-IS to BC1, then redistributed from IS-IS to BGP on SW1, with the default route pointing to FTD for external network access. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks
