The video introduces you to Cisco ASA FirePower managed device licensing and shows you how to add a FirePower device to Cisco FireSight System. We will begin to redirect network traffic to the ASA FirePower and explain the differences between Passive (Monitor-Only) mode and Inline mode. We will also get to see traffic information being displayed on our FireSight System dashboard for the first time.

My Asa was shipped originally with the CX software , then i bought the vw for 2 devices license and L-ASA5515-TAMC but i just got the Malware and Url license inside this SKU , how do u got the protect and control license in this case?

TAMC should include AVC (Control) and IPS (Protect). When you register the PAK, how many license file did you get and what licenses show in the file?

Only for url filtering and malware , i opened a case and cisco GLO gave me and evalution for protect and control , ASA5515-CTRL-LIC , thanks anyway hope this info helps someone.

If you did not recieve the license, send an email to licensing@cisco.com with you ASA model, Sales Order#, and Firepower Mgmt Center key and they should generate the lic file for you.

Today i have send an e-mail to Cisco and within an hour i got one license for PROTECT+CONTROL.

Hi Metha ,although I have enabled evertyhing which you mentioned in videos ,I cant see anything in event tab ? is it normal behaviour in Sensor 6.0 ?

Please provide more info on what you have setup, how Firepower is configured on the ASA. Is ASA passing traffice to FP?

i need to migrate from ASA with IPS module to ASA-x with firepower module , is it doable ??

The two are completely different products and we are not aware any config migration tool or process. The chances are, you need to configure them from scratch.
