The video introduces you to the concept of wireless mesh on Cisco Wireless LAN Controller. Using indoor mesh in our lab, you will learn the basics and behavior of wireless mesh AP. We will go through different topology and connection scenarios from a single hop mesh to multi-hop with VLAN propagation, Ethernet bridging, and bridging with FlexConnect.

Part 2 of this video covers multi-hop mesh and wireless bridging

Topic:
  • Root Access Point (RAP)
  • Mesh Access Point (MAP)
  • Bridge Group Name (BGN)
  • AP Bridge Mode
  • AP MAC Authentication
  • Parent, Child, Neighbor Mash AP
  • Multihop Mesh
  • Wireless Bridge (Ethernet Bridging)
  • Wireless Bridge with VLAN Transparent
  • AP Flex+Bridge Mode

Hi, I love your videos , they are great.
One question, is it posible to configure the backhaul link? for example
to choose WPA2 with the PSK That I choose?
to choose the 2,4 GHz radio instead?

Thanks in advance
Regards

Backhaul link is already encrypted, automatically negotiated between APs and is not really configurable. Some 1500 outdoor mesh AP allows you to use 2.4 for backhaul and 5G to serve client.

nicely explained.
I have one doubt, since vlan transparent is enabled which allowing desired vlan tags to get bridged across backhaul from RAP to all associated MAPS, so why we need to enable vlan support ? not tested but looks like same desired result could be achieved even if vlan support remain disabled also if i am not mis understood, vlan support relevant when vlan transparent is disabled and mesh aps need to handle the tags . Request you to share little info related to vlan support feature ..
