The video demonstrates more advanced BGP route advertisement features on Cisco routers. BGP uses only one best route by default so we will look at how we can configure a router to load balance between multiple equal-cost routes. We will test the router ability to limit the number of prefix being learnt from its peer and react accordingly. Finally, we will show how you can gain more control with conditional advertisement that is based on existence of another route.
Part 2 of this video focuses on conditional route advertisement
  • Load Balancing
    • 'maximum-path'
  • Maximum Prefix
  • Conditional Advertisement
    • 'advertise-map exist'
    • 'advertise-map non-exist'
